In this documentary all elements of the illness Amyotrophic Lateral Scerosis are presented. ALS is a neuro-musculair disease from which people die in an average of three years. What is the disease exactly? How is it to have this disease? What does it do to the partners, the care takers (volunteers)? How does one decide to ask for euthanasia, whilst in fact wanting to live on? How is it to have a clear head but a body that doesn't want anymore to go along?
Three persons, their partners and the volonteers are followed for a period of three years.
This documentary is considered very probing and is possibly not suitable for (small) children.
